With Dry January in full swing, Klosterhaus and leading tropical non-alcoholic spirit maker, Caleño, have teamed up to curate a colourful collection of alcohol-free cocktails to see you through until the end of February.
The menu, created by Klosterhaus Bar Manager, Robert Sherwood, features four unique cocktails each with a story of provenance and sustainability at their core. Each cocktail features one of Caleño’s signature non-alcoholic spirits, Light & Zesty or Dark & Spicy, paired with a variety of ingredients including tonka bean, orgeat syrup, olive and espresso.
The four non-alcoholic cocktails available at Klosterhaus throughout January and February are:

Robert Sherwood, Bar Manager at Klosterhaus, comments; “Understandably, it is becoming increasingly important for guests to be aware of where certain ingredients come from and if they’re sustainably sourced. Provenance of food and ingredients are things that we will be continuing to celebrate at Klosterhaus in 2022 and beyond. It is for this reason that we chose to partner with Caleño for our Dry January campaign, as they, like us, are a brand committed to sustainability and the impact on the environment.”
Ellie Webb, founder of Caleño said, “We're incredibly excited to be partnered with Klosterhaus to create an exciting range of sustainable cocktails. Klosterhaus has curated four bespoke Caleño cocktails all of which are completely vegan. This year, we are working towards our B-Corp certification, and as a brand we work hard to ethically source all our ingredients, whilst always looking at ways in which we can reduce our impact on the environment.”
In addition to the menu, Klosterhaus will also be running lunch and dinner set menus during the week, for those looking for something a little special this January and February. Diners will be able to enjoy two courses for £18.50 or three courses for £22.50 at lunchtime, Monday to Friday, including German favourites such as Vegan Currywurst with triple cooked chips, or the classic Chicken Schnitzel with sweet potato fries.
From 5.30pm – 6.30pm, Monday to Thursday, guests can also enjoy the new Dinner Set Menu with two/three courses for £23.50/£27.50 featuring Käsekreiner, smoked and grilled cheese pork sausage with truffled potato puree, followed by the famous Warm Apple Strudel. All washed down with a Caleño cocktail or two, of course.
Across January and February, Klosterhaus is also supporting Off The Record (OTR) Bristol, a mental health social movement and charity that supports young people. OTR provides creative wellbeing services and projects to empower young people to make positive social change for themselves and their communities. Klosterhaus, will be adding a voluntary £1 donation to all bills when dining in the restaurant from 1 January to 28 February 2022 in support of OTR.
