Starting at noon today, Bristol Old Vic will once again be part of The Big Give Christmas Challenge, an annual week-long campaign where all donations made to the theatre via The Big Give website from 30 Nov - 7 Dec will be doubled.

Bristol Old Vic's Big Give Christmas Challenge

This year, The Big Give Christmas challenge will be raising money to support a brand-new project, inspired by its January production of Romeo and Juliet - a production which combines the forces of the Bristol Old Vic's Young Company and Young Six Six theatre companies.

The Two Households project is being delivered by Bristol Old Vic's Engagement Team as a companion project to Romeo and Juliet. Two Households will work with young people from across Bristol, which uses the themes of Romeo and Juliet to explore the impact of violence on communities. Funds raised through The Big Give Campaign will cover everything from transport costs and refreshments to bursaries and workshop practitioners over the ten-week project.

Bristol Old Vic is internationally well-known for its West-End transfers and five-star productions, but the ground-breaking work it does to bring creative opportunities to young people in every postcode in the city is less well-known. Bristol Old Vic’s Engagement team work tirelessly across Bristol to help young people harness their imaginative powers, gain confidence and find their voice for the future.
