A new stage adaptation of Jekyll and Hyde for audiences over the age of 14 is touring to Bath’s Egg Theatre on Wednesday 3rd November, presented by Box Clever whose previous sell out visits have included brilliantly accessible productions of Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and A Christmas Carol.
Box Clever’s latest production explores in thrilling theatre the chilling vision provided by Robert Louis Stevenson’s novella, Jekyll and Hyde, in all its horror. This is a world in which relationships are governed by secrecy, suspicion and doubt; a world of internal and external conflict as one man struggles with the duality of his nature which threatens to destroy him and his relationships with those around him.
Jekyll and Hyde has been created by Box Clever in collaboration with students from the East Midlands, South West and South East.
Box Clever is an award-winning, writer-led theatre company dedicated to the creation of contemporary theatre for young people, who they involve in their plays as audience members, participants and co-creators. For over twenty years, Box Clever has reached thousands of young people across the UK and beyond with artistic productions and workshops, vividly bringing to life their world and issues that are relevant to them and their education through theatre.
