Distributed digitally across the world, the magazine and their awards have a global reach, which is why the Clifton Hotel Group are delighted to have been honoured with the prize for Best Independent Hotel Group South West at this year’s LUXlife Resorts and Retreats Awards.

Quarter grew from one Bristolian family’s desire to give travellers a unique experience. From a small B&B, we have grown into Bristol’s leading hotel group. Over the years, we have expanded our portfolio to suit our guests’ needs and offer a range of accommodation to suit everyone.

We’re also exceptionally proud of our flagship hotel. Named one of the best boutique Bristol hotels by The Independent and one of the best hotels in the Guardian, The Berkeley Square Hotel not only offers great value in an outstanding location, but it sets itself apart by showcasing a fantastic range of local art. Guests at The Berkeley Square also enjoy complimentary membership to The Square Club, one of Bristol’s best-kept secrets with its extensive menu enjoyed in an intimate restaurant and outdoor terraces.  

Winners of the Conde Nast Johansens Award for two consecutive years, our five-star self-contained Berkeley Suites offer a luxurious home-away-from-home experience. Perfectly self-contained with all the benefits of neighbouring Berkeley Square Hotel, Berkeley Suites are housed in a grade II* listed Georgian building, originally designed in the 18th century by renowned architect Thomas Paty and now restored to its former glory. 

Quarter is not – and never will be – a chain. We do not have a multi-million pound budget behind us but simply. We are extremely proud of what we have achieved over the last sixty years and hope we will be delighting guests for many more years to come.
