Bath’s Egg Theatre welcomes Meet Me A Tree, an interactive first opera for children aged 0-2 years and their carers, appearing from Thursday 14th to Saturday 16th October with three performances per day.
With music by Schumann, Delibes and Handel, as well as words and music created by the company, HurlyBurly Theatre’s new show takes pre-school youngsters on a multisensory journey through a year in the life of a tree - singing with blackbirds, marching through fallen leaves, smelling new blossom and feeling the wind on their cheeks.
Meet Me A Tree is created by Sarah Forbes and Catherine Carter from HurlyBurly theatre company, with design by Kirsty Harris and original words and music by Catherine Carter.
HurlyBurly makes playful theatrical experiences that will inspire babies to develop a lifelong relationship with singing and music. Founded by Artistic Directors Sarah Forbes and Catherine Carter in 2016, the theatre company creates shows for theatrical spaces where babies and adults can relax and have fun with classical music, believing that music, and singing especially, is a positive force for connection and the promotion of emotional well-being.
HurlyBurly theatre company has performed at a wide range of theatres, libraries, art centres, festivals and opera houses across the country, including Polka Theatre, The Egg, The Royal Opera House, Theatre Royal Norwich and Just So Festival.
