ExploreGB Virtual invites international buyers to connect online with travel trade suppliers from across the UK to do business and boost bookings.
Attendance is free with event applications officially open from 6 October 2021.
VisitBritain Chief Executive Sally Balcombe said:
“Using our tried and tested online platform, ExploreGB Virtual gives travel industry suppliers and destinations from across the UK the chance to get their products and services in front of top global buyers and forge valuable business connections.
“Our priority is to build back demand for Britain and visitor spending as international travel continues to reopen, supporting the industry to recover and rebuild. This flagship global trade event is a valuable opportunity to do business, access the latest tourism products and innovations to broaden travel itineraries and drive bookings.”
The four-day event is set to virtually connect more than 350 international buyers including from the UK’s largest and most valuable inbound visitor markets, with travel industry suppliers and destinations across the country.
More than hundreds of pre-selected one-to-one virtual business meetings will take place during the event with a ‘Connections Hub’ allowing delegates to engage virtually with all attendees.
Delegates can also virtually explore live exhibition booths with UK suppliers promoting their products and services. A wealth of digital and downloadable resources and training videos will also be available through a dedicated VisitBritain ‘Resource Hub’. Buyers and international journalists can also attend webinars and networking events to boost their knowledge of the UK as a visitor destination.
The start of the event will also feature a dedicated Business Support Day, providing comprehensive insights and advice delivered by VisitBritain’s in-market specialists, PR teams and Business Support team to support businesses with the information they need to plan the year ahead.
ExploreGB Virtual will accommodate all times zones with a scheduled programme for international buyers from both short and long haul destinations.
