Terrace Sessions return to Bristol Beacon this August with Bristol artists at the heart of the eclectic line-up for the 2021 edition.
Shiiku opens the event on Thursday 5th August with a free exhibition entitled ‘The Change’. Soundcrash Presents: J-Felix (Tru Thoughts) and DJ Cheeba will be headlining the Friday 6th Terrace Session. SLAUGHTERHOUSE headlines Saturday’s show.
On Thursday 12th August, Slack Alice will be supported by Ha-Trigon, DJ Ductape and Residents: Anina, Kelan, Nadoone and Yokel. This free session will see Slack Alice spinning tunes from his unparalleled record collection. Friday 13th August will be ‘lucky for some’ attending Noods Takeover and headlining Saturday 14th August will be Shaboom Presents: Big Belly NRG (Terrace Party).
Fruit Machine will be wowing the crowds on Thursday 19th August. And Durkle Disco will be presenting their legendary live soundsystem shows and DJ sets that have helped them leave their mark on the landscape of British dance music with Bianca Oblivion, DeeOh7 showcase feat. $H The Producer, Slowie and Firee Young, NGAIO, See No Evil (K Stylz and Koast). This will be matched the following day with summer anthem smashes from Juke 2000 Presents Craft Punk and more on Saturday 21st August.
The final week of Terrace Sessions will welcome Phoenician Blinds and Tezeta for a double headline show on Thursday 26th August on the terrace at Bristol Beacon. On Friday 27th, Super Soca ft AAA Badboy, Dub Boy, Atki2 and Jonesy Wales take to the stage and to round off a month of Terrace Sessions Bristolian Kayla Painter headlines on Saturday 28th and on Sunday 29th August Take Your Time headlines with Downbeat Melody Sound System (Steve Rice and Paul-Solution Sound System) and Eeyun Perkins.
Todd Wills, Head of Programming at Bristol Beacon said: “The idea behind the Terrace Sessions is to showcase Bristol Beacon this summer using some amazing local artists and we’re pleased that Shiiku will be kicking things off with The Change exhibition and the likes of Slack Alice, Kayla Painter and Fruit Machine will be headlining some fantastic shows throughout August.”
