St George’s Bristol has announced a new programme of live concerts from this May onwards, as national lockdown restrictions lift.
As well as welcoming audiences safely back into the main auditorium, the new programme includes sessions taking place both outdoors in the beautiful gardens, and inside the new open-plan Café Bar extension, underneath Luke Jerram’s permanent sculpture installation for St George’s, titled Apollo.

St George’s Bristol is a 580-seat concert hall in the heart of Bristol. It presents over 300 performances of classical, world, jazz, contemporary and spoken word events to over 100,000 people each year. This is complemented by an award-winning learning programme in education settings across the city and a growing programme of digital work.
St George’s Bristol is accredited ‘Good to Go’ by Visit England, and carries the ‘See it Safely’ #BackOnStage certification by UK Theatre and SOLT (Society of London Theatres). Safety of audiences and artists is paramount, with social distancing measures in place throughout the venue including a new seating plan in auditorium, a one-way system, and distanced table service for the Café Bar.
