Over the past month we have welcomed several journalists and bloggers to Bath. Some of the trips and following coverage are a result of working in collaboration with our partner hotels' PR departments, while some are due to our ongoing targeted media outreach work.
A syndicated staycation piece about the city has been published in both the Lancashire and Yorkshire Times, and The Daycation: Bath, an article about making the most of the city in 24 hours, features in Country & Town House, an online and print publication.
Journalist Hannah Lynn Tan visited, along with her four-legged friend, to write a dog-friendly city break feature. Her article was published in House of Coco, a travel and lifestyle print and online publication, and she stayed at The Roseate Villa. A further feature we secured directly with the editor of House of Coco is also due to be published in the November print issue.
Upcoming features include a staycation piece in The Scottish Sun, due to be published next month, and a blog post about the city from travel and lifestyle blogger Hayley Rubery, of Frock Me I'm Famous, to be published shortly.
Bath also topped the list of Cosmopolitan’s online piece, 25 of the Best Places to Visit in the UK. The journalist is now also coming to Bath to write up a spa hotel review, and we are also working with her on a ‘Day Trip to Bath’ feature.
If you are a Member of Visit Bath and open to hosting media, please do get in touch – without your support we are unable to secure press trips, so we really do appreciate support from our accommodation, attractions and food and drink partners.
We are also keen to host press for two nights ideally, in order to obtain 48-hour or staycation-style features, fitting with our overall strategy to encourage visitors to stay longer in the city. Please do let us know if you would be happy to consider two-night hosting, subject to availability.
For press and media enquiries, please contact emma.frayling@visitbath.co.uk.
