About

In 1938, Alice Park was gifted to the city of Bath as a public park by Herbert Montgomery MacVicar. Fast-forward 78 years, the Alice Park Trust was established in 2016 to oversee its running. Situated at the A4 and Gloucester Road junction, Alice Park is a hidden gem that everyone can enjoy.

Boasting eight acres of landscaped parkland, you’ll find a children’s play park, six tennis courts, a boules piste, cycle paths and a wildlife conservation area.

The park is also home to a children's nursery, community garden and Alice Park Café. Award-winning and open year-round, the fully licensed café produces their own vegetarian and school-compliant LittleScoffs individual meals alongside Classic Alice Breakfasts, paninis, toasties, snacks and more. With a focus on organic and fair-trade food using local suppliers wherever possible, the café is also a Bath in Bloom winner, having created and maintained the Alice Garden planters. They also regularly host community events including the Big Bath Sleep-Out in aid of Julian House.

Frequently used by sports and fitness groups, there is also free car parking on site and well-kept toilets, plus dogs are always welcome. Whether you wish to work out, grab lunch, relax in the sunshine or volunteer in the community garden, Alice Park has everything for everyone.
