Bristol’s luxury co-working space Square Works have announced their expansion into 19 Berkeley Square, a previously abandoned listed building.

The Square Works team are excited to bring a piece of Clifton’s history back to life – especially since the building has such a rich story. According to records, the building was a private residence for many years before becoming to the home of the YWCA at the beginning of the 20th century.
The building has seen many fascinating uses over the years – it was the site of the American Red Cross Service Club towards the end of the war before being used as the Ministry of Labour and National Service office. Perhaps fittingly for a building being taken over by one of Bristol’s independent hospitality groups, it was the Lyndale Hotel for over thirty years.

This beautiful grade II-listed Georgian townhouse is currently being restored to its former glory. With elegant sweeping staircases and a spectacular cupola, it will provide a stunning home for organisations looking for office space or flexible work space.
Located next door at 17 and 18 Berkeley Square, Square Works offers the only high-end serviced offices and co-working space within a private members’ club in Bristol. This is its fourth expansion in three years as the space has grown to meet the needs of its members.
The building will be designed in the Square Works style: lots of natural light, lots of greenery and an environment that is both professional and personal. There’ll be more office spaces, more meeting rooms, more hot-desking facilities – and there’ll also be a gym.
Following the sold out successes of previous phases, this opening will be the last chance to snap up offices at the prestigious postcode. This exciting new expansion is set to open its doors in Autumn 2022 and applications are now open for the final few spaces.
Since its initial opening in June 2019, Square Works has established itself as the luxury option in the co-working scene, with high-end perks included in membership (such as restaurant food from The Square Club delivered directly to desk, free prosecco, baked treats and a plethora of exciting events). As part of our commitment to Bristol, we offer benefits such as yoga classes and art classes to encourage members to support local businesses - and we’re always looking for interesting partnerships.
The Square Works community boasts a diverse range of members at different points of company growth and is an ideal location for both start-ups and scale-ups alike. For more information or to enquire about a tour, please contact Community Manager Kevin at hello@squareworksbristol.co.u
