The Good Spa Guide, which gives spas a 'bubble' rating similar to Michelin stars for restaurants, has awarded the Thermae Bath Spa a 'Five-Bubble' rating. This is one more bubble than the four it received last year.

There are two five-bubble categories. The first is Five Bubbles Fantastic, which has been awarded to Thermae Bath Spa. The second category is aimed at seriously special spas and dubbed 'Five Bubbles Luxury Heavenly.'

Thermae Bath Spa is the only day spa in Britain that has naturally warm, mineral rich water and, with its iconic rooftop pool which has views over the city’s rooftops and surrounding hills, it attracts visitors from all over the world.

Andrew Jordan, Executive Vice President of YTL Hotels UK said the prestigious accolade was down to the dedication of the Thermae Bath Spa team, commenting: ‘I am very pleased to announce that Thermae Bath Spa has earned the highest rating of five bubbles from the prestigious Good Spa Guide. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team. Their unwavering commitment has enabled us to offer an outstanding spa experience that continues to gain recognition from both industry experts and our guests alike.’

A member of the Good Spa Guide team visited the spa and enjoyed a treatment as part of the assessment. Within their review they described the rooftop pool as ‘a real show-stopper’ and praised the quality of training of the therapist who gave them a treatment.

The Good Spa Guide offers advice to spa goers as well as rating spas for their cleanliness, customer service, quality of treatments and facilities, refreshments and over-all experience. Their bubble-ratings, awards and accolades are designed to recognise excellence in the UK spa industry and celebrate their increasingly important role in supporting health and wellbeing.
