Breathe, an enchanting experience which celebrates the epic in the tiny, tours to Bath’s Egg Theatre from Sunday 11 to Tuesday 13February. In a performance by Half a String theatre company, children aged 5 years and over are taken on an extraordinary journey through a busy forest, from the perspective of an acorn.
Together three storytellers create a tale that is beautifully realised, through a combination of puppetry, detailed set design and live camera work. Breathe is also underscored with a unique blend of Drum and Bass music and ethereal folk songs.
Artistic Director of Half a String, Peter Morton, said:
“Live projection cameras share an acorn’s perspective with the audience, in this show that celebrates trees through the seasons. Both the music and design have been nominated for Offies and we have loved sharing it with audiences. We are really excited to share this with Bath as it’s the first time we have been to The Egg.”
Half a String theatre company are a collective of artists creating accessible, intelligent work that champions meaningful experiences for its audience members.
