Vibrant food bowl

About

Bar 44 - Tapas Y Copas opened its doors in the heart of Clifton Village in the summer of 2018. After an extensive refurbishment of an old Bank building on Regent Street overlooking the Royal Crescent, the team have brought their unique take on Spanish food, drink and culture to Bristol.

With an emphasis on simple cooking of exceptional produce from Spain and the West Country, Bar 44 offers a relaxed and flavour-packed dining experience which is complimented by an extensive Spanish drinks offering. Bookings can be made at www.bar44.co.uk/bristol, but as with every good tapas bar, there is always room for walk-ins and customers really enjoy taking a seat at the bar for a quick snack and a glass of wine, sherry or craft Spanish beer which adds to the bustling atmosphere.

Open Wednesday - Sunday visitors can expect a dining experience which pairs an array of seasonal tapas with one of the finest Spanish drinks lists found outside Spain. Weekday lunchtimes are increasingly popular with the introduction of their Lunch offer.

An essential part of Spanish life is dining out with the whole family and so children are well catered for with a separate children’s menu available (with colouring and puzzles to boot). The evenings transform into a vibrant, cosmopolitan night out with diners enjoying seasonal tapas dishes and daily specials paired with fine wines, cavas, gin tonicas and an imaginative array of Spanish cocktails. Friendly and attentive service ensures a great experience at Bar 44.

In the basement, two of the old bank vaults have been lovingly transformed into impressive and atmospheric private dining rooms which are perfect for special occasions, meetings and family get-togethers.

If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, a vegan menu and 'no intentional gluten' menu can be found on their website, along with a list of all allergens on the menu.

Please note that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant.

Sundays
Sundays at Bar 44 are pretty special too… boasting one of Bristol’s best roast dinners! Spanish-style sharing roasts are served down the middle of the table for everyone to enjoy, think iberico Jamon-fat roast potatoes and chorizo Yorkshire puddings.

The team at Bar 44 look forward to welcoming visitors to the city of Bristol with open arms and a whole host of Spanish hospitality.

Private Dining

Perfect for a special occasion or event, Bar 44 has two underground bank vaults that have been transformed into private dining rooms for groups of a minimum of 6, to a maximum of 12 guests in each room. Pick from the tapas menu on the night or choose from one of the set menus. Please note the private dining rooms are not wheelchair accessible.
