Bowood Golf, the Offical PGA Golf Course & Academy for the South West

Accessibility Information

Bowood values diversity and inclusion above all and is committed to offering an accessible and inclusive stay to all its guests.

The hotel offers car parking bays for disabled guests, and all public areas including hotel reception, bar, lounge, restaurant, and library are all situated on the ground floor and fully accessible, without steps and suitable for wheelchair users. There is a choice of designated accessible bedrooms with wet rooms as well as the option of twin or double beds. One of the accessible rooms has an interconnecting bedroom, allowing easy access for a carer if required.

There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor, close to hotel reception, with vertical rails and an emergency alarm cord. Bowood can offer an adjustable safety bed rail for those guests who are less mobile.

Bowood accepts assistance dogs in the resort but asks for prior notice from guests. 

The restaurant menus offer special dietary requirements as standard, such as gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut free, vegetarian, vegan etc. Additional specific dietary requirements can be arranged in advance.

The Spa is fully accessible, including swimming pool, treatment rooms, and gym. There is a pool hoist which must be booked in advance to support entry into the swimming pool. There is a separate disabled changing room with an emergency alarm cord.

Bowood offers a large print restaurant menu and hotel information guide to assist guests that are visually impaired, and a messaging service to hotel reception for guests with hearing impairments. 

Where possible, a quieter table will be offered to neurodiverse guests who struggle with a noisier environment dining in the restaurant upon request. Bowood also offers a 24-hour room service for guests who may wish to dine away from a busy restaurant.
