Day One - Bristol
Take a walk along the Harbourside or enjoy a harbour cruise with Bristol Packet Boat Trips before visiting Brunel’s SS Great Britain. Over 50 years ago, the world’s first luxury liner returned to the dry dock where she was built and has been restored to Victorian glory. This award-winning attraction enables visitors to experience the sights, sounds and smells of this great ship.
After lunch, visit Clifton and cross Brunel’s other masterpiece, the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Private tours are available for groups. After dinner enjoy live music in a traditional English pub or take in a West End show at the Bristol Hippodrome theatre.
Day Two - Bath
Take the train to Bath (it’s only 12 minutes) and visit the world-famous Roman Baths, one of the best-preserved Roman remains in the world. Discover the city’s Roman past in the interactive museum and tread in ancient footsteps around the Great Bath.
Spend the afternoon exploring the stunning Georgian architecture of the World Heritage city. No. 1 Royal Crescent is a fascinating museum that offers the chance to discover more about family life in Georgian Bath – there is also a hotel in the crescent where you can take afternoon tea in the stunning gardens. Continue the Georgian story with a visit to the Jane Austen Centre and celebrate one of Bath’s most famous residents.
Reward yourself after a hard day’s sightseeing with an early evening soak in Bath’s naturally warm waters at Thermae Bath Spa before a relaxing dinner.
