About

Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is the home of the big zoo animals including African Elephants, White Rhino, Giraffes, Lions, Capybaras and Spectacled Bears. You’ll be amazed at the variety of nature you’ll see with over 100 species of animals, set in 100 acres of Somerset countryside.

Interactive Keeper Talks

Find out about your favourite animals in the free interactive keeper talks every 30 minutes throughout the day. Find out about Zebras, Giraffes and meet the Meerkat mob.  Watch in awe as our birds of prey swoop over your heads in our aerial displays, witness the majestic big cats feeding or get the keeper insights into our Elephant bachelor group.  Our daily animal show is a must see, where our presenters talk about our domestic animals and why we keep them at the farm.

Our animal handling sessions, twice daily, gives you the chance to get up close with some of fluffy favourite animals.

Check our daily what’s on our website to get the full program.

We are now partnered with Bristol's Mobility Centre and now have a limited number of wheelchairs available to reserve for free. We also have mobility scooters for available for a £10 hire charge. In order to secure a mobility scooter for your visit please book in advance online or by calling our friendly team on 01275 852606.

Noah's Ark is working on a long term 'Ark for All' plan, the first stage of which has been completed and was opened on 25th July 2018 by Paralympian Andy Lewis. The new facilities include a Changing Places toilet, complete with hoist and changing bed, accessible play equipment including a wheelchair accessible roundabout and child-friendly accessible signage.

They appreciate that some visitors may prefer to visit the zoo when there are less people around. The zoo is quieter in term time during the week, on Sundays during term time and from 3-5pm during the school holidays.

Sometimes busy areas can become overwhelming, whilst they don't yet have a dedicated quiet area yet, there are a number of quieter areas around the zoo which can be easily accessed.

1. Quiet lawn behind the Gibbons accessible from behind the Food Barn (please ask a member of staff who can direct you)

2. Space between the Rhea and the Bear enclosure is a peaceful area of the zoo. This area is just past the giraffe enclosure.

In July they welcomed Gordon Morris, a company who specialise in hearing solutions to help improve the visitor experience in several areas. This included installing 5 hearing loops and 3 speech transfer systems. The hearing loops are installed in the main Food Barn, Gift Shop, Farm Shop and at the ticket office. Whilst the Speech Transfer Systems help to improve communication in the Food Barn and Ticket Offices.
