Ivy Clifton Brasserie

About

Overlooking The Mall Gardens, The Ivy Clifton Brasserie brings relaxed, sophisticated all-day dining to the heart of Bristol’s endlessly chic Clifton Village. From modern British cuisine to timeless classics, including fantastic vegan and vegetarian options, there's something for everyone to enjoy. In addition to the main restaurant, The Ivy Clifton Brasserie boasts a stunning bar, an orangery, and two private dining rooms for special celebrations.

Located in the magnificent Clifton and Hotwells Conservation Area, the restaurant occupies the old NatWest Bank on the corner of Caledonia Place and The Mall. The Georgian building features an impressive portico entrance and vast near floor-to-ceiling domed windows. Inside, an eclectic collection of prints reflects period drawings of Bristol’s architecture, its rich railway heritage, the rivers Severn and Avon, as well as eye-catching Art Deco images.

The menus, curated by The Ivy Collection’s Chef Director Mark Askew and Group Executive Chef Sean Burbridge, with the support of the brasserie’s Head Chef, offer a wide selection of seasonal dishes. Inspired by the original Ivy on West Street, they cover everything from breakfast and weekend brunch to lunch, afternoon tea, light snacks, and dinner. Whether it’s a quick shepherd’s pie with a glass of wine before a cinema outing, or a three-course meal, diners are guaranteed quality and variety.

Bristol is a foodie's paradise, offering a diverse mix of fine dining establishments, vibrant multicultural cafés, food vans, and pop-ups. The Ivy Clifton Brasserie finds itself perfectly positioned between these two ends of the culinary spectrum, and Clifton Village is the ideal location—blending local community spirit with elegance and history.
