World Travel Market is the biggest event on the calendar in the world of travel. Held at ExCel in London, the event attracts tens of thousands of attendees from around the globe. This year was as busy as we have ever known it, which is a positive sign for the industry in the years ahead.

Destinations, tour operators, DMCs, service providers and more from the UK were in the North Hall along with the rest of Europe and the Technology in Travel section. The UKinbound stand has a prime position by the entrance way dominates the UK section and we were lucky to enjoy a prime position on the stand, right at the first corner.
Still recovering after a packed few days at @WTM_London on the @UKinbound stand. We had a huge number of pre-arranged and walk-up meetings talking all things #BathAndBristolTravelTrade helping with info, inspiration and advice for 2023 and beyond pic.twitter.com/ajM6fAXS8P

45 meetings were pre-arranged across the three days, with equally as many taking place with people coming to our stand unannounced. We were also lucky enough to talk to the new Tourism Minister, Stuart Andrew MP, on Monday. Also on Monday, Kathryn Davis (Director of Tourism) and Jon Chamberlain (Head of Marketing) were joined by Susie Bowers and Emma Frayling who had many meetings and conversations with visiting media and influencers. Many of our Visit West members also popped by and it was great to see them.
Themes throughout the week that came up in conversation were outlook for 2023 and 2024, availability of accommodation, success stories of 2022 and plans for positive engagement and activity ahead. The idea of 'The England you already know....but better' was extremely well-received. Over the next few weks we will be following up with all those who we met but if you would like to talk to the team in the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact us via email.
