About

Mud Dock Café is a light and airy warehouse-style building with views over Bristol’s floating harbour. With a capacity of up to 120 guests the flexible and informal space can be adapted to suit most events and over the last thirty years the team have helped hundreds of people plan all kinds of events from business breakfasts and book launches to weddings and family celebrations.

There are also two south-facing decks looking out over the boats, Prince Street Bridge and the iconic cranes next to the M-Shed on the harbour side.

The café team are proud to have built a reputation for being professional, flexible, welcoming and open to all ideas for different decorations and layouts in the café. The experienced kitchen team have prepared and served thousands of freshly prepared a la carte meals and buffets using ingredients from local suppliers. They cater for all dietary requirements and are always happy to discuss specific requirements to create the perfect refreshments or meal for the event.

With its central Bristol location, ample parking, proximity to Temple Meads Station and great hotels, Mud Dock is an informal and unique venue for many kinds of meetings and events.

Private Dining

With its elevated views over Bristol’s cranes and boats, Mud Dock will add an iconic backdrop to any event. The café accommodates up to 100-120 guests in its open, airy and rustic bicycle-themed interior and the stunning south-facing deck (weather permitting) looks out over the floating harbour.

Over the last 30 years Anna and her team have helped organise weddings (it’s licensed for civil ceremonies), pub quizzes, business meetings, Christmas parties, bat mitzvah’s and family celebrations - to name a few.

The huge round window is an ideal backdrop for speeches, tying the knot or dancing while the restaurant area is perfect for an informal meal or celebrations. Anna and her team are always on hand to offer help and advice at every stage. If you’d like to arrive by boat, have Champagne on the terrace, tables a certain way, time to prep the room with your own decorations - it’s all good.

A la carte and buffet menus are available and the kitchen team caters for most dietary requirements. All meals are freshly prepared using local ingredients whenever possible and the fully stocked bar serves local beers, ciders and soft drink as well as a nicely curated selection of wines.
