The Great Ambassador Network Group Annual Conference supported by Visit Britain Business Events took place at Warwick Conferences on 24th and 25th March attended by Meet Bristol & Bath.
The network provides the unique opportunity for Convention Bureaux (such as Meet Bristol & Bath), universities, Professional Congress Organisers (PCOs) and event professionals to come together to share best practice for operating conference ambassador programmes and working with ambassadors to win, then optimise the positive impact and legacy of congresses in Britain.
Academic and sector leaders play a crucial role in bringing business events to the UK, providing invaluable advocacy, network connections and expertise.
The sessions focused on a variety of thought provoking topics. This included live examples of how the power of strong ambassadors alongside key city stake holders and its Convention Bureau can work together to attract conferences that align with a region’s academic and industry sector strengths. This not only supports the visitor economy but importantly generates a positive impact and legacy as a direct result of that event coming to the region.
