The last two months have been busy for the Meet Bristol & Bath Convention Bureau team, who have been attending trade events in Barcelona, Paris, and Brussels.
Meet England Trade Mission to Paris & Brussels - 22 to 24 November 2022
Meet Bristol & Bath, along with five other English cities, joined Meet England on a European Trade Mission to Paris and Brussels to connect with pre-selected European associations and congress organisers. The three-day event included two events in Paris, comprised of a meeting and incentive event with 12 major French MICE agencies, and an association event with 12 international congress organisers based in Paris. The third event took place in Brussels and provided an opportunity to meet with 12 Belgian based associations and was hosted by the UK Ambassador at his Embassy Residence. The content was moderated by European Society Association Executives (ESAE) on legacy and impact, future role of associations and Convention Bureaux.
Meet Bristol & Bath attendance at IBTM - 29 November to 1 December 2022
IBTM is a leading global event for the meetings, incentives, conference and events industry taking place annually in Barcelona. It is an opportunity to meet with agencies, DMCs, companies and associations to source, learn and network.
The Meet Bristol & Bath team joined the Meet England stand to showcase Bristol, Bath and the surrounding area as a top destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. Our Head of Business Events had over 30 pre-booked appointments over the three days to meet with event professionals and hosted buyers from across the globe who were interested in what the region has to offer and how they could bring their next event to the area. She also participated in an evening event where she met with 15 MICE agencies from Spain, Sweden and Germany.
