As well as vast conference spaces and grand hotels, there are countless places to host your smaller meetings in Bristol, Bath and the surrounding areas.
Whether you want to meet a client in a relaxed and welcoming setting, reconnect with your team somewhere other than the office or feel more comfortable meeting al fresco right now – these venues have the perfect spaces.
Racks
The Engine Room is located in the historic wine cellars at Clifton restaurant Racks, just off Whiteladies Road. With an alcove ceiling and seating for just eight people, this is the epitome of an intimate meeting space, with the added bonus of an adjoining breakout space.
The bespoke industrial furniture in the workspace is handmade in Bristol and there’s also a large screen, in-room printing and high speed Wi-Fi. Through the glass doors you can sink into plush velvet armchairs and sofas – perfect for relaxing with a cuppa after a long meeting. You could always make the most of Rack’s outdoor terrace for fresh air and a post-meeting drink too.

Apex City of Bath
Less than a 10-minute walk from Bath Spa Station, Apex City of Bath is a modern and stylish hotel in the heart of the city. It’s known for having Bath’s largest purpose-built conference facility, but the chic, Scandi-inspired Terrace Bar is also a top choice for a smaller outdoor meeting. If chilly weather strikes, you can move your meeting to one of the quiet alcoves in the bar’s indoor space.

Boho Marché at Francis Hotel Bath
Eclectic interiors and vibrant flavours of the Mediterranean and Middle East make Francis Hotel Bath’s restaurant a coveted spot for private dining. A curtain can be draped across their La Mesa space, which seats up to six, for complete privacy or left open so you can enjoy the buzz of the restaurant in the background.
Boho Marché is based just a ten-minute walk from the train station – convenient if your guests are arriving from out of town.

Homewood
In between Bath and Freshford village, about a 15-minute drive from the city centre, you’ll find eclectic and luxurious spa hotel Homewood. Hire out their Flower Room for a lovely light meeting space which leads out onto an outdoor terrace with beautiful views of the grounds.
For a quirkier setting, choose between Tibby’s House, a cute and cosy summer house for up to eight people; the Lobster Shakz, nautical-themed beach huts where you can enjoy fine seafood; or the elegant glass dining rooms, each complete with a Dyson fan to keep you cool. All of these spaces have Wi-Fi access, so you can get set up for a working lunch.
