The Tour

As you walk about the harbourside and through the old city your qualified guide will explain Bristol's 1,000 year history as an international port city.  You will hear about Bristol's role in historic voyages of exploration and the transatlantic slave trade as you walk past merchants' houses, warehouses, churches, pubs and bridges from every period of this fascinating city's history. Listen to stories of Blackbeard the Bristol pirate, Cabot the explorer, and Brunel the engineer and the impact of his innovations on Bristol.  See examples of Bristol's celebrated street art before finishing near St Nicholas Market, renowned for its international cuisine.

The Route    

Includes the City Centre, Park Street, City Hall, Bristol Cathedral, Millennium Square, the Floating Harbour (previously the City Docks), Queen Square, Kings Street and the Old City of Bristol finishing near St. Nicholas Markets.
