About
Over the last 30 years, Mud Dock Café has evolved to become one of Bristol’s most successful independent restaurants. Above a high end bike shop selling town, road and mountain bikes, the café has become something of a Bristol institution.
The café/bar/restaurant sits on the first floor and with it’s dockside location, airy industrial-chic interior and laid-back vibe, it’s clear why this is a popular hang-out for locals and tourist alike. The view from the deck over Bristol’s floating harbour, ferry boats and cranes, swing bridge and MShed mean it’s the perfect place to while away a couple of hours with a coffee, beer or cocktail.
Cycling memorabilia decorating the walls and bikes hanging from the rafters continue the cycling theme while bike races are shown on TVs around the café. Breakfast, lunch and supper are served daily (check for seasonal opening times on the website) with brunches available all days at weekends.
The main thrust of the menu is a range of customer favourites with fresh, hearty, local and good value dishes. There are daily-changing fish and seasonal specials complementing a selection of salads, burgers and steaks as well as vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Great coffee, cocktails and local beers and ciders.
Dog-Friendly
The staff at Mud Dock Café clearly love dogs. After a lovely walk around the Harbourside your furry friends will receive a welcome drink and doggy snacks as soon as they arrive in the café. They can choose to sit on the deck overlooking the harbour or relax in the open and airy café.
