About

At Team Bath they are renowned as one of the UK’s leading sporting institutions – but did you know they are also an inspirational, multi-purpose event space?

From teambuilding and wellbeing get-togethers to trade fairs and exhibitions, single and multi-sport competitions to school activities and sports days, our Sports Training Village (STV) is the ideal venue for your event whether it is for 10 people or 10,000-plus.

Activities, catering, accommodation and ample parking are all available on one site, with the STV located on the University of Bath campus just minutes away from a spectacular city centre rich in history and heritage.

You can either hire the space or ask the expert event management team to put together a bespoke package tailored for your needs using their modern and flexible facilities. For example, a teambuilding day could involve fun bobsleigh and skeleton challenges on the UK’s only outdoor push-start track, followed by lunch in the Sports Café and a group get-together in one of the many meeting rooms within the STV or on campus.

Team Bath's extensive facilities also include:

• A 59m x 38m multi-sports hall, including bleacher seating, that can be configured to host sports events, gala dinners, trade fairs, conventions like Comic Con and much more.

• An additional 35m x 34m multi-sports hall on the University campus. • Indoor and outdoor tennis courts. The indoor courts can be adapted as an exhibition space, fan zone, training area or breakout space.

• 50m Olympic-standard swimming pool, with the option of setting at 25m length, and a hydrotherapy pool.

• Three spacious gym areas with state-of-the-art Matrix Fitness equipment, plus a group exercise and dance studio.

• Martial arts dojo, which is also ideal for pilates, yoga and wellbeing activities.

• Indoor and outdoor athletics tracks.

• Indoor and outdoor laser-shooting ranges.

• Sand courts used for beach volleyball, football and other activities.

• Numerous grass and artificial pitches, including a new multi-use games area (MUGA).

• Lecture rooms with capacities of up to 350.

• On-site accommodation (available from June to September).

Businesses to have hosted corporate events at Team Bath include the BBC, Bath Building Society, Cisco, Deloitte, Lloyds Bank, Red Bull, Rengen, Rotork and Sainsbury’s.

Recent major sporting events at the STV include the 2023 UIPM Pentathlon and Laser-Run World Championships, a Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifying competition; the 2019 Fed Cup tennis; and several Invictus Games Trials. England Rugby, both men and women, have also staged training camps at the University, as have ParalympicsGB, the all-conquering 2024 Wigan Warriors rugby league squad, Scotland National Women’s Football team, New Zealand and South Africa netball squads, and many more.

They are also proud to be the host venue for the annual Make a Move! event organised by Bristol Children’s Hospital, enabling hundreds of young people undergoing treatment for cancer and blood conditions to get active and have fun.
